What's 8J1M ?
8J1M is a special event station that related to maebashi city. A lot of hams will participate in this operation.
What's event ?
A part, chieifly welfare, of the authority of the administration was transferred to Maebashi City as " The core city " by the prefectural government on April 1, 2009.
We congratulate that Maebashi City is graded to " The core city ", and operate the special radio Station " 8J1M"
Called "The core city " means one of the political systems of Japan,
The population is 300,000 people or more and municipalities to which administrative affairs in the welfare were transferred by the government.

1.Station and Schedule
8J1M is managed by the JARL Gunma branch, and QRV from April 1st, 2009 until July 12, 2009.
8J1M will be active mainly from various places in Gunma Prefecture.

The new International Reply Coupons (the "Nairobi model"), will go on sale on 1 July 2009,
and are expected to remain valid until 31 December 2013.
They will replace the current IRCs, which must be redeemed before the end of the year,
as they will expire on 31 December 2009.
Activity will be on 160 - 6 meters using CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31.

FIA Touring Car Grand Prix that will be held in Marrakech on 1-3 May 2009.
JA1DOT, Hisa, is heading to Bhutan later this week. He leaves for Bangkok tomorrow and will arrive in Thimphu, Bhutan on Friday where he will be QRV as A52DT until May 6th.
Look for him to be active on 1.8 through 28 MHz on CW, SSB and RTTY using a wire antenna held up by an 18 meter high fishing rod.
He has applied for a high power license and will have a small amplifier. Updates will be posted on the Nippon DX Association (NDXA) Website at www.ndxa.net. QSL via JA1DOT.
